Formulating the right soundtrack for your run, bike, or other exercise is part art, part science. High-energy music won't make you a marathon runner, but it can keep you moving toward the finish line with determination. When you make a playlist, you should select music that inspires YOU. Whether it's lyrics, tempo, or the voice of the artist, music should motivate you. It should energize you. It should put you in a zone. It should make you feel like a winner. Always put together a playlist before a workout, whether you are lifting weights, engaging in cardio activity or hitting the pavement for a run. It has been proven, the ultimate playlist can provide you with a more efficient workout by increasing the duration and intensity of the exercise being performed. How many times have you gone to the gym or class and the music was horrible? I once walked out of a spin class as the music was unbearable!. So to those instructors and gyms that take some time to prepare good tunes while I workout, THANKS!
