It's All In Your Head

As I was listening to the radio last week, I heard a list of resolutions not to make. One of them was "to lose weight." The DJ stated the reason why is because it's better to resolve to eat better and move more. I have to agree. You need an action plan, not just a hope!
Even with an action plan, you need a positive mental attitude. Deep down, you must believe that you can achieve what you set out to do. Whether you think you can or can't, you're right!
One of the most powerful ways to talk positively to yourself is to use the word "will." Instead of saying, "I'm going to try to eat a salad for lunch," say "I will eat a salad for lunch."
Surround yourself with positive people who make you feel happy. Like attracts like. The same thing goes for your online relationships. Read blogs that motivate you, follow people on Twitter that inspire, hide friends on Facebook that usually post negative statuses.
Both positive and negative thoughts confront you every day. Dwelling on the self-defeating thoughts and what ifs will only set you back. It's all in your head. Train your brain to think positive and your mindset will shift. You'll be happier with your decisions and each choice will lead you in the right direction.
